Founding Partner, Chief Executive Officer & Chief Investment Officer
Brian is the Founding Partner, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Investment Officer. Brian founded Pine River in 2002. Prior to founding Pine River, he was a trader, and later a Partner, at EBF & Associates from 1988 to 2002. His responsibilities while at EBF & Associates included portfolio management, marketing, product development, and trading information systems development. Brian received an MBA with a concentration in Finance and a specialization in Statistics from the University of Chicago and a BS in Accounting with a minor in Mathematics summa cum laude from Millikin University. Brian proudly serves on the Board of Directors for Northside Achievement Zone (NAZ), an organization established to permanently close the achievement gap and end generational poverty in North Minneapolis.
