Conan is a portfolio manager focused on relative value Inflation strategies. Prior to joining Pine River in 2023, Conan was with Garda Capital Partners (formerly Black River Asset Management) from 2013 to 2022 where he was a Portfolio Manager focused on inflation relative value trading. From 2008 to 2013, Conan worked at BlackRock as a Portfolio Manager in their global inflation-linked bond business and in BlackRock's risk and quantitative analysis group. Conan received a PhD in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and a BA in Economics from the University of Arizona. He has two refereed publications in the Journal of Portfolio Management.
