Matthew is a portfolio manager focused on relative value Inflation and Liquid Rates strategies. Prior to joining Pine River in 2021, Matthew was with Millennium Management from 2018 to 2021 where he managed a portfolio focused on inflation relative value trading. From 2008 to 2018, he was the lead inflation Portfolio Manager with Garda Capital Partners (formerly Black River Asset Management). From 2004 to 2008 Matthew was a Quantitative Analyst with Black River Asset Management. Matthew received a PhD in Physics from the University of Minnesota and a BS in Physics from Loyola University. Matthew attended NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center program on high performance computational physics. He has several refereed publications in scientific journals.
